This oil painting depicts an open field in upstate New York. Inspired originally by my mini landscape sketches. I translated this into a larger scale oil medium. I like to sketch and capture moments in nature in my sketchbook. As I travel I collect images that inspire me. I love capturing the colors, textures, marks, and overall feeling that nature creates.
